Our Story
Hello, I'm Erin. (Aka Fairy Erin.)
Actor, writer, disability advocate, and proud pony mum to Australia’s cutest miniature therapy pony, Piccolo!
For as long as I can remember, stories and ponies have been at the heart of everything I do. Growing up with ADHD and OCD, I found comfort and stability in the company of horses. More recently, I discovered I’m autistic, and this journey of self-understanding has shaped my passion for advocating for neurodivergent voices and using storytelling to break down stigma.
I’ve spent over 10 years working in disability advocacy, earning my Certificate 4 in Disability Support, and creating spaces where people of all abilities can be seen, heard, and celebrated. Through Piccolo Ponies, I combine my love of theatre, ponies, and community to bring magic to kids, hospitals, nursing homes, and schools across New South Wales. Whether I’m performing as Fairy Erin alongside Piccolo the Unicorn or sharing stories about resilience, creativity, and kindness, my mission is simple: to prove that connection, imagination, and compassion can change the world.
Our work has been promoted in Highlife Magazine, sold-out crowds at the Sydney Fringe Festival and most recently featured on Network Ten’s morning talk show Studio 10, where we discussed our work with children’s entertainment, equine-assisted therapy and demonstrated Piccolo’s various tricks. I trained Piccolo myself using natural horsemanship and positive reinforcement clicker training.

Currently, I’m working on my first children’s book inspired by Piccolo’s adventures and the healing power of animals. Every day, I get to share Piccolo’s magic with those who need it most — and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.🦄✨
